In the field of technical textiles, innovation power and innovation pace essentially influence the competitiveness of companies. Therefore, initiating and planning market-oriented R&D projects is in the focus of activities of Joint Initiative Technical Textiles. Based on this:

• Companies are actively supported in planning, preparation and performing of research projects including the placement of suitable partners
• Efforts are directed to improve the textile-technological research at technical colleges and universities to a better orientation towards practice and application
• Results of preliminary research is target-oriented transferred into practice
• Company start-ups based on marketable innovations are supported and promoted.
• Participation in tenders for research and innovation projects is actively carried out.
