Also within the second stage, the further reorientation of the Saxon textile industry is in the main focus of all efforts. Market positions of producers manufacturing technical textiles should be strengthened sustainably especially under the changed economic conditions. Further textile companies are supported in diversifying their traditional product range into novel alternative application fields.
Following the recommendations given after evaluation of the first stage of Joint Initiative Technical Textiles new priorities are set. The main focus is on:
- Strengthening the innovation by knowledge transfer and R&D projects
- Management of networks and improvement of cooperation
- Sales promotion and opening up of new markets
- Intersectoral and cross-bordering cooperation
- Promotion of junior managers and junior specialists
- Support for company start-ups and company locations
- Public relations for the textile and clothing branch
